Registration and abstract submission
All ICORS 2012 participants are to register and submit their abstracts through a combined portal. It also permits participants to select and pay for accommodation, conference tours, and the banquet. The number of accompanying persons may be declared and payments can be made for them, too.
Important: Please read this first; there are no help pages in the portal
Instructions on the use of the portal
- First step: Registration and access require the use of a valid email address, which will serve as both your login name, and the address at which the organizers will reach you.
- Next steps: Once logged in, you will be required to enter some standard information, viz. name, work address, etc. The registrant may complete all subsequent steps at a different points in time before the applicable deadlines.
- Navigation: First use the “Save & Proceed” button at the bottom of the page to reach the summary (“Confirm and Pay”) page. Thereafter, you can use the chain on top of the forms to directly jump to a page; click on the underlined text below each node of the chain.
- Abstracts: Please visit the abstract guidelines page before filling the form. Participants will be able to submit the abstract file only once through the web form. To change it later on, please email the new abstract file to secretariat@icors2012.org, giving the email subject as "ICORS 2012 -ID nn -Abstract replacement". Here nn stands for your registration ID number, available within the portal.
- Logout: There is no logout button in the portal, but quitting the browser has that effect. In the interest of security, especially on shared computers, we suggest that registrants close all windows of their browser after each login session. Closing only the ICORS tab or window when other browser tabs or
windows are open may not suffice.
- Payments:
- Before paying: A summary (“Confirm and Pay”) page on the portal shows all the saved options and payments made so far. Before making any payments, please scrupulously verify the data on this page. Errors shall be the responsibility of the registrant.
- Methods: Credit cards (Visa and MasterCard only) and Wire Transfer (details given on the summary page in the portal).
- Please note that wire transfers imply additional charges at the source and destination banks. While we shall absorb the latter, it is the responsibility of the participant to pay the applicable charges at their (source) banks, thereby ensuring that the correct total amount is remitted to the ICORS (destination) account. Should there be an underpayment, ICORS staff reserves the right to recover the remainder of the amount from the participant.Please avoid underpayments.
- Dividing payments: The portal works like a check-out system. All selections made en route to the payment segment of the portal must be paid for as a whole through one financial instrument. Participants may choose a different instrument for the subsequent set of selections. For instance, they may have their registration fees wire transferred, and later charge the banquet, tours, accompanying person(s) charges, and the hotel fees, as a whole, to their credit card.
- Group payments: If some participants intend to pay together, they should get in touch with us at icors2012.ipc.regmgr@gmail.com with the payment details and the participants (names and registration IDs) that the bulk payment is to be applied to.
